Enabling Auto-Play for Google Chrome Playback


Google has changed how the Chrome browser works so that videos no longer automatically start playing when a webpage (including YouTube or Google Drive videos) is first displayed.


That is, unless you click on them the first time you visit a site or web-page with an audio or video file.


What this means is that although videos may not seem to play when you touch a touchpoint, if you manually click on the "play" icon for a video, then from that point on, the video will auto-play when you touch the sensor again, or return to that page in the future.


Chrome Enterprise Policy List


If you are in a school using Chromebooks, and depending on how your IT department manages those computers, it may be possible to use the Chrome Enterprise Policy list to whitelist youtube or google drive for auto-play behavior.
